Senior IT Project Manager (m/f/d) - Aviation

We are currently looking for a Senior IT Project Manager (m/f/d) with more than 7 years of experience, ideally in the SAP purchasing and materials management environment, to work for one of our clients in the aviation industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex IT projects - from planning and control to risk and quality management through to successful implementation. With your PMI or IPMA certification (at least level C) and your expertise in classic and agile methods, you will lead cross-functional teams and ensure smooth cooperation with all stakeholders.

Tasks:

• Responsibility for the planning, management and successful implementation of complex IT projects, particularly in the SAP environment and in the areas of software development and infrastructure
• Structured organization of project programs in an international corporate environment and coordination of participating business units
• Management of risks, dependencies and quality standards along the entire project life cycle
• Analysis and methodical preparation of requirements, including coordination and prioritization with all relevant stakeholders
• Moderation of workshops, project meetings and agile formats such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives
• Ensuring clear and transparent communication on progress, challenges and results
• Promoting cross-departmental collaboration between specialist departments, IT architecture and development teams
• Coordination of several project teams within the framework of agile scaling models (e.g. SAFe, Nexus or LeSS)

Qualification:​

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification
• At least 7 years of experience in project and program management, ideally with SAP reference in the purchasing or materials management environment
• Certified according to PMI or IPMA (at least level C)
• Sound knowledge of classic (waterfall) and agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Experience with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, MS Project or Azure DevOps
• Strong communication, moderation and leadership skills in interdisciplinary teams
• Decisive, able to deal with conflict and responsible
• Agile mindset with experience in change management and the introduction of new working methods
• Customer and results-oriented approach with a high level of quality awareness
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Willingness to travel
