SEAMO stands for Safe, Electrified & Autonomous Mobility and is a development service provider for engineering and IT. Our aim is to build a bridge into these advanced technologies for our customers.
We are currently looking for Engineering Manager (m/f/d) Steel Construction for a renowned industrial service provider in the petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical and oil sectors.
Tasks:
- You are responsible for coordinating all engineering tasks for a specific project with regard to occupational safety, quality, deadlines and costs.
- You lead the engineering team as part of project management.
- They ensure that engineering deadlines and budget targets are met.
- In the event of deviations from the plan in terms of time, costs, scope of work and efficiency, you define and review measures to achieve the targets.
- You work in a matrix organization, i.e. you report to the project manager (when, what) and to the Head of Process Engineering in Engineering (who, how).
- Together with the project manager, you manage the engineering team in the project and ensure that the engineering goals are achieved.
- They work together with the scheduling department and ensure that an integrated and complete project schedule is maintained.
- They ensure that any scheduling conflicts that arise within Engineering and with Purchasing and Assembly are resolved, analyze schedule deviations and draw up correction plans.
- You will support Technical Risk Management and work closely with Change and Claims Management.
- They ensure that customer specifications, e.g. codes and standards, are adhered to and that the framework conditions of the customer contract are taken into account.
- You coordinate the creation of engineering documents.
- You will be responsible for implementing the format and structure of the documentation for engineering, supplier and customer documentation in accordance with the customer contract.
- You support project purchasing during the engineering and procurement phase and the construction site during assembly and commissioning with regard to defining interfaces, providing personnel and information.
- You support the project manager with internal and external reporting
Requirements:
- Successfully completed engineering studies
- At least 10 years of professional experience in at least one engineering discipline, sound experience in other engineering disciplines (process, piping, layout, steel, civil, electrical, I&C, etc.), ideally in industrial plant construction
- Leadership experience in interdisciplinary (also international) teams
- Professional responsibility of interdisciplinary teams
- On-Site Experience in Construction (Supervision on Components), incl.IBS
- Experience as Lead Engineer for more than 5 years
- Intercultural processing experience
- Business fluent in German and English
- Strong negotiating skills
- High degree of organizational talent, good communication skills, structured and customer-oriented way of working, confident appearance as well as strong persuasiveness and assertiveness
- Good analytical and judgmental skills, high level of soft skills
- Mobility and willingness to travel internationally
