Clerk (m/f/d) Accounts payable clerk

We are currently looking for dedicated Accounts Payable Accountants (m/f/d) as part of a temporary employment contract for our major clients in the aviation industry in Frankfurt.

Tasks:

• Carrying out formal checks of incoming invoices for compliance with VAT regulations
• Assignment of incoming invoices to SAP MM purchase orders or to cost centers and G/L accounts based on various differentiation criteria
• Checking the results of the OCR solution used in invoice receipt and then entering the invoices in the SAP Materials Management (MM) module in accordance with internal guidelines
• Release of the recorded invoices in SAP after content review and approval by the responsible departments or service recipients, taking into account internal regulations
• Processing complaints and reminders, in particular by checking whether the transactions have been recorded in SAP and forwarding them to the relevant departments or service recipients
• Clarification and follow-up of open items with creditors, usually in coordination with the specialist department and/or the contractor
• Carrying out other postings in SAP-FI, clarification of clearing accounts (e.g. GR/RE account) and other tasks in connection with credit-side issues, such as compliance with payment terms and reclaiming payments made

Qualification:​

• Completed commercial training with relevant professional experience in accounting, in particular in accounts payable management (including payment runs and processing of incoming invoices)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and extensive experience with SAP, especially in the FI, MM, PM and CO modules
• Familiarity with general accounting and valuation principles
• Sound knowledge of tax law, especially in the area of value added tax
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
