SEAMO stands for Safe, Electrified & Autonomous Mobility and is a development service provider for engineering and IT. Our aim is to build a bridge into these advanced technologies for our customers.

We are currently looking for sub-project managers (m/f/d) in the Instruments & Controls division for a renowned industrial service provider in the petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical and oil sectors.

Tasks:

  • Achievement of sub-project goals that lead to the fulfillment of contractual obligations
  • 1.     Performance/quality: Technical realization of the contractually specified scope of supply and services in the field of electrical, measurement, control and regulation technology, taking into account legal and operational requirements and standards
  • 2.     Dates: Monitoring and control of activities in the field of electrical, measurement, control and regulation technology to meet the planning deadlines, timely reporting of deadline deviations (+/-), identification and initiation of suitable countermeasures
  • 3.     Costs: Monitoring of the allocated hourly budget, timely reporting of budget deviations (+/-), identification and initiation of suitable countermeasures
  • Representing electrical, measurement, control and regulation issues in the project team
  • Representing project interests in his specialist department
  • Checking the implementation options for the start of the sub-project (data, specifications, work package, milestone plan, deadlines, hourly budget, project staff, etc.) and requesting all the information required for it
  • Coordination of the processing of the sub-project work, if necessary also by the project staff assigned to him/her
  • Coordination of internal site interfaces with other departments
  • Informing project staff about the project requirements at the start of the project and whenever changes are made
  • Creation, checking and approval of designs, drawings, specifications, parts lists, documents etc. for the l&C division
  • Preparation of technical specifications and technical comparisons to support the purchasing department in the specification-compliant and cost-effective procurement of large components in particular
  • Timely planning, preparation and implementation of the design review I&C; if necessary, convening additional design reviews in coordination with PM (EM) and line manager
  • Participation in the product audit
  • Support of shipping coordination (participation in shipping coordination meetings, setting shipping labels, checking, etc.)
  • Regular reporting to the PM (EM) using the TPL status sheet Instruments & Controls from the project report
  • Supporting the PM (EM) to utilize all opportunities to improve the project outcome
  • Passing on customer claims from the contract to suppliers or, if applicable, expansion

Requirements:

  • Decision-making authority for sub-project-specific matters relating to electrical, measurement, control and regulation technology. The competence is limited by superordinate specifications and rules as well as the responsibilities of the specialist departments in accordance with the matrix organization
  • Authority to manage operational tasks within the scope of the resources allocated to him
  • Authorization to escalate project issues to the PM (EM) that cannot be resolved in the project team or with the project team members
  • Right to reject costs that are not related to the Instruments & Controls sub-project
  • Additional lead function Responsibility for cross-location fulfillment of sub-project requirements
  • Representing the interests of electrical, measurement, control and regulation technology to suppliers and customers in consultation with the PM (EM)
